At the Law Office of Catherine Tucker, we are prepared to handle the unique legal needs of participants in embryo donation arrangements. We provide embryo donation legal services for both New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
Embryo Donation Consultations (for Donors and Recipients)
We know that the process of deciding to pursue embryo donation can be emotionally and logistically overwhelming. To help you sort through the legal considerations, we offer an initial consultation designed specifically for those considering embryo donation either to build their own families or as a way to help another infertile couple. During the consultation, we will discuss important legal issues that will help you understand the legal aspects of the process, as well as your legal rights and responsibilities as a donor or recipient of the embryos.
Embryo Donation Agreement Preparation and Review Services
If you have already decided to pursue embryo donation, we can handle all of the necessary paperwork for your arrangement, including preparation or review of your written agreement and preparation of any necessary legal clearance letters. We will discuss with you the pros and cons of pursuing a court order to formally terminate or declare parental rights.
Declaration of Parentage
While embryos cannot be adopted in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, because New Hampshire and Massachusetts law only permits children who have already been born to be adopted, we can obtain a court order formally declaring the recipients as the legal parents of the resulting children, and terminating the legal responsibilities of the donors.
